Description

Awesomenauts is a 3-on-3 saturday morning action game that combines platforming action with the tactical depth of a MOBA! Playable on your own with bots, online against friends or on the couch with dual or triple splitscreen, there's always a matchup that's right for you.

Featuring nearly 30 unique 'Nauts, ranging from Butt Stomping Space Vikings to Cosmic Cocoon Spinning Caterpillars, there is a 'Naut that fits your specific playstyle. Each 'Naut has over 20 possible upgrades that vastly modify attacks and abilities, allowing for new combos and tactics to be created on the fly during battle.

Frequent and consistent content updates to balance and core features keep Awesomenauts ever evolving. Because of this more than 1.7 million people have enjoyed Awesomenauts worldwide and created an active and lively community around it.

History

Originally launched for the Xbox 360 and Playstation®3 on May 2nd of 2012, Awesomenauts grew exponantionally after it was released on Steam on August 1st of that same year. Consistently releasing major content updates every other month sinse release, we've expanded the playable 'Naut roster from an initial 6 to currently over 20, added new battlefields and improved many aspects of the core game.

In August 2013, Ronimo Games started a Kickstarter campaign for additional content entitled Awesomenauts: Starstorm. The goal of the project was $125,000. By the end of the Kickstarter campaign, over $345,000 had been donated via Kickstarter, with ongoing additional PayPal funds bringing the curent total well over $500,000.

A Playstation®4 version of the game was released on March 4th of 2014 with an Xbox One version following in the second half of 2015.

In April 2017 the move to Free To Play was announced and combined with a huge update which prepared the game for this transition. Starting May 24th, everybody will be able to play the game for free!
